Prenatal Education: Building Confidence in the Doula's Role will be held Thursday, July 30 at 12pm EST / 9am PST

Confidence doesn't come from memorizing more information—it comes from knowing how to use what you already know. In this interactive workshop, certified birth and postpartum doula, Cheyenne Bell will teach doulas practical skills and strategies to confidently lead meaningful prenatal education conversations.

By the end of this workshop, participants will ...

  • Understand the difference between teaching information and facilitating learning.
  • Feel more confident leading prenatal education conversations.
  • Learn how to prioritize topics based on what families need most.
  • Develop strategies for guiding conversations when clients don't ask questions.
  • Recognize how a repeatable process can build confidence in their doula practice.

This workshop will be led by Cheyenne Bell

Cheyenne Bell is the Founder and CEO of Haven Place Doulas, a Massachusetts-based doula agency dedicated to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive birth and postpartum support. As a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and maternal health advocate, Cheyenne has supported over 100 families through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

Drawing from years of experience teaching expectant families and mentoring newer doulas, Cheyenne is passionate about helping birth professionals move beyond simply sharing information to confidently facilitating meaningful prenatal conversations. Her warm, interactive teaching style blends practical tools, evidence-informed education, and a "big sister" approach that leaves participants feeling supported, capable, and ready to put what they've learned into practice.

Cheyenne is currently completing her pre-medical studies with the goal of becoming an OB-GYN and continuing her work to improve maternal health outcomes through education, advocacy, and system change.
