October 15: Giving birth from the right side of the brain // virtual workshop with author Jenny Kozlow

Giving birth from the right side of the brain will be held Thursday, October 15th at 12pm EST / 9am PST

Based on the book Giving Birth from the Right Side of the Brain: Rethinking how we prepare couples for childbirth, in this workshop, participants will:

• Understand more about how their communication style can enhance or hinder their clients' inner voice and intuitive knowing
• Learn to recognize right or left hemisphere predominance and how it can influence birth choices as well as preferred teaching styles
• Identify ways of balancing expectations about becoming a parent so your clients are better prepared for the reality of postpartum

Workshop goals include:

• Model a way of giving information that allows for integration of what we are learning
• Create awareness about our discrepancies as authority figures and whether our words are supported by our actions
• Inspire the participants to improve their perinatal communication skills
• Demonstrate how simple it can be to bring emotions into our conversations
