In the Core Concepts module you will learn:

- DTI's Slow Doula Method®
- The Power of Language
In the live class with your instructor, you will:
- Learn how to ground and center your care as a doula and adopt a Psychology of Alliance®
- Become an effective changemaker in today's reproductive climate
- Address internal biases
- Empower yourself and your clients to respond to inadequate care
In the Reproductive Health module you will learn:
- Introduction to Reproductive Health
- Reproductive Justice
- Cycle Awareness
- Birth Control
- Fertility, Abortion, Miscarriage and Loss
In the live class with your instructor, you will:
- Learn how to apply your doula work across the reproductive health spectrum
- Discuss birth control options, preconception, infertility, miscarriage & loss, pregnancy release support and NICU care
- Examine issues through a reproductive justice lens
In the Birth Anatomy & Physiology module you will learn:
- Fetal Positions
- Hormones
- The Cervix
- The Pelvis
- Stages of Labor
In the live class with your instructor, you will:
- Learn the basics of fetal positions, hormones, the cervix, the pelvis, signs and stages of the labor process
- Learn essential knowledge on pain medication and other interventions
In the Birth Doula module you will learn:
- Doula Support for Each Stage of Labor
- Comfort Measures for Labor
- Compassionate Cesarean
In the live class with your instructor, you will:
- Learn the ins and outs of the birth doula role
- What to expect at each phase of the process and how to support clients
- Best practices for working with other healthcare providers
In the Doula 101 module you will learn:
- Prenatal and postpartum meetings, parts 1-4
- Working with back-up doulas
- Self-care for the doula
In the live class with your instructor, you will:
- Discuss different strategies for providing prenatal support to your clients
- Working with back-up doulas
- Caring for yourself, before, during and after your client work
- The birth doula's role postpartum
In the Infant Feeding module you will learn:
- Benefits of Breastmilk for Baby
- Anatomy of the Breast
- Human Milk Composition
- How a Doula Can Assist
- Latching & Positions
- Obstacles & When to Refer
- Formula
- Expressing & Storing
- Feeding Multiples
In the live class with your instructor, you will:
- Dive deeper together on supporting clients as a doula with all forms of feeding babies, including breastfeeding, chest feeding, pumping, formula, and hybrid options.
In the Postpartum Doula module you will learn:
- The Newborn Immediately After Birth
- Postpartum Physical Changes
- Postpartum Mood Disorders
- Newborn Care
- Integrating the Baby into the Family
- Postpartum Doula Roles & Shifts
- Navigating the Client Relationship
- Resources & Referrals
In the live class with your instructor, you will learn:
- How to structure your postpartum care
- What tasks are included
- What it's like working in the homes of your clients
- Caring for families under special circumstances
- What to be aware of and prepare for
- Providing optimal community referrals
In the Doula Business module you will learn:
- Branding 101 For the Doula
- Complete a Branding Exercise
- Tips On Nailing the Interview
- Mock Interviews

- Put all of the pieces together as you discuss branding, websites, marketing, networking, and creating sustainability in your work.
