The Emotional Load of Holding Space will be Thursday, July 17th at 12:30pm EST / 11:30am CST / 9:30am PST
The Emotional Load of Holding Space was created with all doulas in mind; birth, postpartum, abortion, fertility, and full-spectrum because the emotional weight of this work is real, no matter your specialty. This session opens space for reflection around burnout, grief, self-silencing, and the quiet toll that holding space for others can take. Participants can expect a welcoming, reflective space rooted in cultural awareness, honesty, and restoration. This workshop is especially for doulas who have been holding it all together while holding space for others. Come as you are: your emotional wellness matters here.
In this workshop we will:
--Explore what birth workers carry emotionally, mentally, and energetically while supporting others
--Learn how to identify signs of compassion fatigue
--Walk away with practical tools to protect your emotional well-being without withdrawing your care.
This workshop is led by Tamela Hughes, LPC
